Radio Rijnmond: We don’t know what effect lying has on children

I was featured in an item of Radio Rijnmond about lying in parents and children, which contributed to the theatre production Serious Comedy: Zoete Leugens, Stoute Leugens (Sweet Lies, Bad Lies). I argue that social lies are commonplace and may be used to protect by parents to protect their child’s feelings. However, we do not know yet what the effects of such lies are on children.
